Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the negative torque at the time of a light load by using an inverter device which can independently control the current that contributes the torque generation of an induction motor and the current that contributes the generation of magnetic fields. CONSTITUTION:The torque generated in the induction motor 5 is sensed by a torque sensor 20. When a negaitive torque is generated, or when the generated torque has approached the negative value, the weak-field control is performed by a weak-field control circuit 21, which receives the output signal of a torque sensor 20 and sends out the field reference phi* thereby the generation of the negative torque can be prevented.
