Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain recirculation of exhaust gas in a proper quantity by controlling with a negative pressure control valve the negative pressure at the intake tube which is to control an exhaust gas recirculation control valve of an internal combustion engine as well as by making correction of the vlave opening with venturi negative pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The intake and exhaust lines of an engine are put into communication by an exhaust gas feedback line 4 having an exhaust gas recirculation control valve 2, through which a part of exhaust gas is fed back to the intake line. Into the negative pressure chamber 8 of the control valve 2, the intake negative pressure in the neighborhood of a throttle valve 16 is introduced through negative pressure lines 9, 14, which are equipped with a negative pressure control valve 1 to which the negative pressure at venturi part 13 is introduced through a passage 12. The control valve 1 has a valve element 19, which is arranged in the negative pressure chamber 11 and opens and closes a conduit 15 to regulate the magnitude of negative pressure to be transmitted to the negative pressure line 9.
