Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive shielding assembly having no possibility of deformation by spirally winding two superconductive tapes around a hollow core material so that the gaps between turns of the tapes are not overlapped, with metal foil of high purity sandwiched between the tapes. CONSTITUTION:An ordinary superconductive tape 1 to which copper has been plated or copper foil has been soldered for stabilization is wound around a hollow core 2 of stainless steel, copper, copper alloy, aluminium, or aluminium alloy. Then foil 3 of copper or aluminium is wound around this, on which a tape 1' of the same material as the tape 1 is wound so that the gaps between turns of the tapes 1 and 1' are not overlapped. After that, the assembly is impregnated with a metal having a low melting point such as solder, indium or wood metal. This prevents the electromagnetic force from moving the tapes 1 and 1', and deformation due to magnetic stress.
