Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coil of solenoid pancake winding free from move or deformation caused by electromagnetic machining force, by threading sliding section of a winding core and fixing it using a flange stopper or a ring nut. CONSTITUTION:A flange 6 is temporarily attached onto a winding core 4, and a superconductive solenoid pancake winding 2 is wound around a spool consisting of flanges 6 and 5 and a winding 4. Axial compressive force of a prescribed value is applied through the flange 6 to the winding held between the flanges 5 and 6. And then, by keeping the condition as it is, a stopping ring nut 9 is screwed into a threaded section 8 provided on the winding core 4, and it is tightened and fixed. And then, diameterical fixing is done using a reinforcing winding 3. It is possible, by doing so, to prevent a winding from move or deformation and therefore to obtain superconductive solenoid pancake coil having less mechanical instability and an excellent exciting characteristic.
