Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a device named in the title, by using a coordinate value calculating circuit, etc. CONSTITUTION:A short-circuit detecting circuit 13, coordinate value accumulation circuit 14, coordinate value accumulation resistors 15 snd 16, calculation resistor 17, coordinate value calculation circuit 20, coordinate value resistors 18 and 19, linear interpolation device 21, discharge reopening circuit 22 are placed between a discharge limit circuit 6 and an interpolation device 8. In this set-up, when the short- circuit detection circuit 13 detects a short-circuit during discharge machining to a work 1 by a wire electrode 2, movement stop of the work 1 and voltage shut-off are effected and at the same time the work 1 is progressively moved in the X direction and moved in circle and the wire electrode 2 makes arc movement. During this movement coordinate values (values relative to the work 1) of the wire electrode 2 is read and accumulated. Further, number of readings is counted to calculate mean coordinate value of short circuit release points. Based on a calculated mean value, the work 1 and wire electrode 2 are moved to a mean coordinate value to be released completely from the short-circuit. Accordingly a resistor for memory of the passage of the wire electrode 2 one by one is not necessary.
