Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a display tube having excellent brightness characteristics without almost changing the conventional manufacturing process by using a conductive material having a colour other than black and mirror surface structure as an anodic segment surface. CONSTITUTION:A silver paste, etc., is screen-printed on the glass base plate 15 and then baked to form the wiring electrode 16 of a given pattern, and then a low- melting glass paste composed primarily of tin oxide is screen-printed on the wiring pattern and then baked to form the insulation layer 17. In this case, the insulation layer 17 is so formed that it is partially exposed and the through hole electrode 18 is formed on the partially exposed portion. Then, the anodic glass base plate is introduced into a vapor deposition apparatus where aluminium vapor-deposited film 19 is formed on the plate. Then, a bluish green fluorescent paste is screen-printed on the segmentary aluminium electrode 19 and then baked to form the fluorescent layer 20. Thus, without almost altering the conventional manufacturing process, a fluorescent display tube having excellent brightness characteristics can be obtained.
