Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a rust and corrosion inhibitor with excellent adhesiveness obtained by incorporating an acid salt of a compound with a specific structure as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:This rust and corrosion inhibitor has good adhesiveness with a metal and is excellent in preventing corrosion and especially effective for a cast iron and contains an org. acid salt or an inorg. acid salt of the compound shown by the formula. The compound of the formula is, for example, bis(4-aminocyclohexyl) methane or a salt formed by reating an org. acid or an inorg. acid with said compound in the absence of a catalyst or in the presence of an alkali catalyst by ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. An org. acid is, for example, propionic acid or caprylic acid and an inorg. acid is, for example phosphoric acid or boric acid. The concn. of an effective component is about 0.01-5wt%.
