Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the reaction or refining of liquid, by locating both the electrodes enclosed with diaphragm in the cell and forming the flow path of liquid respectively in the cell and diaphragm.
CONSTITUTION: When liquid flows from the liquid flowing inlet 5' of the upper cover of the electrolytic cell, the liquid flows down in the diaphragm 9 and reaches the cover 6 and flows out of the liquid flowing outlet 6'. Further, when current flows to the electrodes 7, 8, ions produced by the electrolysis migrate into other liquid through the diaphragm 9. Accordingly, required ions migrate from one liquid to another among two liquids, a substance is produced by the electrochemical reaction as a liquid with high purity. Further, refining can be achieved by allowing the impurity ions to migrate from one liquid to another liquid, and if the two liquids are of the same kind, the concentration of the liquid can be increased.
