Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to set and change a squelch level simply and accurate ly, by displaying the squelch level visually. CONSTITUTION:The DC voltage (DC voltage corresponding to the receiving input level) dependent upon the automatic gain control signal of intermediate frequency amplifying circuit 5 and reference voltages which correspond to the input signal level of 0dB, 10dB, and 20dB respectively are compared by comparators 21, 27 and 23. When the DC voltage is larger than reference voltages, light emission diodes 25, 31 and 37 are driven by outputs of comparators to display the input level; and when the DC voltage is smaller than the minimum reference voltage (voltage corresponding to the input signal level of 0dB), only light emission diode 19 is driven. Consequently, since the receiving input level can be detected by states of respective light emission diodes, the squelch level corresponding to the input level can be set and changed easily by connection switches 20, 26, 32, and 38.
