Abstract

PURPOSE: To both improve the familiarity, pressure resistance and durability of a gasket and compensate its restoration resilience, by constituting the gasket with a hollow ring and its metallic envelope.
CONSTITUTION: A gasket is constituted by a hollow ring 2 and a metallic envelope 1 that coats the surroundings of said hollow ring 2 in a shape of circular arc, if necessary, further by providing a pressure resistance reinforcement material 5 in the hollow part of the hollow ring 2. The hollow ring 2 consists of metal of stainless steel, inconel (Nickel alloy) or the like with an excellent restoration resilience or synthetic resin and rubber, and the pressure resistance reinforcement material 5, when provided, is almost completely bound by the metallic envelope 1. In this way, the pressure resistance held by a single body of the hollow ring 2 can be kept stable further improved, while a good surface finish of the metallic envelope 1 can compensate uneven physical properties in the welded part of the hollow ring 2 to obtain a superhigh sealing parformance of good familiarity.
