PURPOSE:To simplify the detection of the control current, by piercing a magnetomotive force of an AC current transformer, which is inserted into one of the two phases, to the connecting line of the thyristor connected to the two phases of a primary-voltage-control type induction motor. CONSTITUTION:The driving current is detected by an AC current transformer 12 which is arranged in the second phase into which a thyrister 9 is not inserted. The control current is detected by inserting the connecting line of the thyristor 9 through an AC current transformer 11' so that the magnetomotive force of the current transformer is alternately operated. The detected signals from the AC current transformers 11' and 12 are applied to a current detector circuit 10', and a speed control signal is obtained from a control circuit 15', which receives the current signal of the current detector circuit 10', the output set by a speed setting device 16, and the output of a speed generator 17.
