Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect a lost motor primary voltage within a short period of a time by detecting a current changing rate and a speed changing rate of a motor at a Scherbius device equipped with an electrical power converting device to control a secondary power of a wound type induction motor.
CONSTITUTION: To an alternating current bus-bar 10 a motor 11 is connected and to a secondary side of this motor 11 an electrical power converter 12 to return an electrical power induced in a secondary side of the motor 11 to the bus-bar 10 through a transformer 13 is connected. Signals from a current detector 12C within a converter 12 and from a speed detector 14 of the motor 11 are introduced to changing rate detecting circuits 19A,19B respectively and by detecting both outputs continuing during certain constant times together a lost primary voltage is detected.
