Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable safe commutating operation at the time of power interruption by providing means for setting and altering the limiting level for limiting the output current of an inverter to a value smaller than that at the normal time based on the production of a signal at the time of power interruption, thereby preventing unnecessary current limiting operation. CONSTITUTION:The detected output of the output voltage detector 6 of an inverter is compared with the set value of a voltage setter 7, and the deviation is applied to a voltage regultor 4. On the other hand, a current detector 8 converts an AC current obtained by a current transformer 10, and the output is compared with the output of a variable curret reference setter 9A or 9B connected to a DC intermediate circuit between a DC power source 1 and the inverter 2, and the deviation is applied to a current regulator 4. The setter has two reference setters 9A, 9B, and either one is used according to a switch SW. The setter 9A is used at the time of no power interruption, and when a power interruption occurs, the switch is changed by the signal from a power interruption detector PDD, and is switched to the other setter 9B.
