Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the direct viewing of an electrostatic capacity-voltage characteristic of a voltage variable capacity diode by a method wherein triangle waves with offset voltage at the positive voltage side are oscillated, and the waves are utilized as bias voltage and voltage for measuring electrostatic capacity.
CONSTITUTION: Output from an oscillator TG putting out triangle waves with offset voltage at the positive voltage side and the voltage of a voltage variable capacity diode VC as a sample to be measured are inputted to an error amplifier A1, and the output is provided to an amplifier A2, at which a frequency characteristic of a loop is adjusted, and applied to the diode VC as bias voltage through a resistor R1. Voltage generated at the resistor R1 is supplied to a vertical axis of an oscilloscope CRT and output from the oscillator TG to a horizontal axis. Thus, the triangle wave voltage can be used in common for bias voltage, voltage for measuring electrostatic capacity and the drive of the oscilloscope, and a characteristic of the diode can accurately be measured a short time.
