Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate and shorten the time of the discharge of a machining liquid contained in an immersion tank by a method wherein the discharge port of the immersion tank is opened by operating a liquid dischrage pump at the time of detection, in the titled machine which machines a work being immersed in a machining liquid. CONSTITUTION:To make an immersion tank 9 empty by discharging a machining liquid contained in the tank 9, the supply of the liquid is first stopped, a discharge plug 19 is lifted, and the liquid is discharged from the tank 9 through a discharge port 9B by spontaneous flow and returned to a machining liquid storage tank 11. Simultaneously, a limit switch 19 is operated by the lift of the discharge plug 10, the detecting signal is fed to a discharge control circuit, and a ''discharge signal'' is generated. The ''discharge signal'' is fed to a discharge pump 17 to start the latter, and the liquid is discharged into the storage tank 11 through a liquid discharge pipe 18. Accordingly, the machining liquid is discharged from the immersion tank 9 through the discharge port 9B and the discharge pump 17 at large amounts in rapid manner.
