Abstract
PURPOSE:To compactly shape the armature coil of excellent electric properties and lifetime, by providing the coil around a holder made of a resin applicable by vapor- coating. and by thereafter heating to melt the holder. CONSTITUTION:The holder 2 is made of a resin applicable by vapor-coating. The holder is formed to a cylinder of perfect cylindricity to be used as a mold to shape a coil 1. The diameter of the holder is made smaller by the winding thickness of the coil than its diameter. A turned edge flange 3 is provided on one end of the holder. The coil 1 is provided around the holder 2 so that the coil comes into contact with the flange 3. After that, the coil is thrusted on the holder 2 so that the coil is shaped. The holder may be fitted in the coil 1. Energizing is performed through the coil 1 to heat the holder 2 to melt it. The molten resin permeates in between the wire lines of the coil 1 as shown by an arrow. The resin is cooled and solidified to complete the shaping. According to this method, the armature coil of excellent electric properties and lifetime is compactly shaped.
