Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the concetration of electric current due to the undulation and/ or ruggedness at the peripheral part and improve the printing quality by a method wherein grooves are provided at the peripheral part of a resistance body, in a thermal head comprising a resistance body formed on electric conductors on an insulating substrate. CONSTITUTION:Electrode conductors 2a, 2b, 2c are formed at predetermined intervals on an insulating substrate 1, and a resistance member 31 is provided by use of a paste of a resistance body, in such a manner that it is connected with all the conductors 2. Then, while monitoring the resistance value of the resistance body 31a between the electrode conductors 2a and 2b as well as that of the resistance body 31b between the electrode conductors 2b and 2c, grooves 4 are formed at the peripheral parts 32 of the resistance body 31 so that the resistance values of the resistance body 31a and 32b become equal. Accordingly, the printing density is made uniform.
