Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the apparatus difficult to receive the effect of external vibrations and make the putting in and out of the object to be measured easy by splitting laser light to reference light and object light by the use of a diffraction grating.
CONSTITUTION: Laser light to be outputted from a laser light source 11 enters a diffraction grating 13 and is divided to atraighforward reference light a1 and diffracting object light b1. The object light b1 and reference light a1 reflected by the object 17 to be observed produce interference fringes on a hologram recorder 14 and are thereby recorded as a hologram. Next, if the observing object 17 having undergone treatment is placed on a table 16 and is adjusted and disposed to the same position having been stored previously by a position detector 18 and if laser light is again irradiated thereto, the reconstructed hologram interferes with the hologram produced by the object 17 after the treatment, thereby producing holography interference fringes. These are detected with a photodetector 15, and is analyzed by a signal processing unit 19, whereby the amount of change after the treatment of the object 17 is calculated and is displayed in a display device 20.
