Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect whether an interchangeable lens is mounted or not by clamping the electric signal corresponding to lens information to a predetermined value during mounting of the interchangeable lens.
CONSTITUTION: When an interchangeable lens 1 is mounted, a lock pin 13 is pressed to rotate a control lever 19 counterclockwise and an information lead-in lever 15 clockwise respectively. When the mounting is completed, the pin 13 falls into a locking hole 6. Hereupon, the angle at which the lever 15 rotates corresponds to the moving distance of the pin 13 and since this moving distance is constant, the scanning position of a brush 20 on digital code pattern is constant as well. Hence, if the digital signal of this time is beforehand so set as to differ from that corresponding to lens information and this is detected in comparison with a reference value, whether the lens 1 is perfectly mounted to the camera or not may be detected.
