CONSTITUTION: A reaction initiator and a reaction accelerator (which is preferably water-soluble metal chloride or sulfate, water-soluble organic acid, inorganic acid salt, metal oxide and the like, for example, chloroacetic acid as the reaction initiator and manganese dioxide as the reaction accelerator) are dissolved in water and dispersed and a metal) preferably a metal having a larger ionization tendency than hydrogen such as iron) is mixed therewith to produce the titled pyrogenic agent that generates heat by oxidation of the metal in the presence of water and air.
