Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the easy-to-handle recording device having simple constitution whereby recording is performed on ordinary paper by a method wherein a transfer tape having an electroconductive layer containing carbon is laid on the recording paper and voltage is impressed thereon between needle electrodes contacting with the transfer tape and an electrode couple. CONSTITUTION:The transfer tape 2 which has a three-layer structure formed of an electrifying layer 21 15-20mum thick, a half-electroconductive layer 22 having the thickness of 15-20mum and containing carbonblack and an electroconductive layer 23 containing carbonblack several mum thick is let out from a cartridge 3 and rolled round a reel 4. At the part where the transfer tape 2 overlaps with recording paper 1, needle ekectrodes 51, 52...5n and an electrode couple 6 are made to touch the transfer tape 2 and a fixed voltage is impressed on between both electrodes. By this, dielectric breakdown is caused on and near the border between the half electroconductive layer 22 and the electroconductive layer 23, and under the heat generated thereby the layers 22 and 23 are melted in part. The part thus melted is transferred on the recording paper 1 laid on the transfer tape 2 and is thermosetted.
