PURPOSE:To heat a heat sensitive recording paper indirectly, thus preventing local overheat resulting elimination of blurs by contacting a specially constituted heat generating sheet to a heat sensitive recording paper, and by providing a recording electrode and an opposite electrode. CONSTITUTION:A substance such as an electroconductive polymer is painted to form a heat generating layer 4a on one side of a protective layer 4b such as a Tetoron film, thus obtaining a heat generating sheet 4 with a thickness of, for instance, 100mu or less.
