Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of ink jetting and to simplify ink charging by a method wherein ink supply pipes are projected respectively into the inner space of several cylindrical electrostrictive oscillators and cleaning liquid is supplied into this inner space through a porous member. CONSTITUTION:First, an electromagnetic switching valve 17 is connected with pipes 16, 18 and an electromagnetic switching valve 10 is connected with pipes 12, 26 to drive an air compressor 11. Therefore, the cleaning liquid in a liquid tank 9 is supplied to a hole 4 through pipes 8, etc. and a porous member 20 and discharged from a nozzle 4a, a groove 22 to clean the inner portion of the electrostrictive oscillator 3. Then, valves 10, 17 are interrupted, a pump 14 is driven to charge ink into the electrical strain oscillator 3. After that, the electrostrictive oscillator 3 is excited to jet the ink.
