Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit a segment-type bearing to be applied to a multistage-type hydraulic machinery having a high capacity for improving its operation efficiency in disassembling and assembling by securing the highest-pressure stage runner and the lower shaft by means of a bolt.
CONSTITUTION: The upper main shaft 2a having a main shaft skirt 14 for a segment-type bearing is secured to the high-pressure stage runner 1a by means of a coupling bolt 15 through a tongue and groove flange. The high-pressure stage runner 1a, which is provided with a blind hole upwardly, is secured to the lower main shaft 2b inserted into the hole by means of a bolt 16. The multistage-type hydraulic machinery thus constituted is assembled as follows. The lower stay vane 12 is first set in an outer casing 9, followed by an intermediate structure 10, and the high-pressure stage runner 1a is inserted into the lower main shaft 2b and secured to it, before the upper main shaft 2a is lowered to be secured to the high-pressure stage runner 1a by means of the coupling bolt 15. Therefore, the constitution permits the upper main shaft 2a to be provided with the skirt 14 for using a segment-type upper guide bearing.
