Abstract

PURPOSE: To assemble a guide vane with a bottom ring quickly, precisely, safely and easily, by fitting the guide vane in a normal state in the bottom ring and placing the assembly in a prescribed position.
CONSTITUTION: After a packing 14 is fitted on a bottom ring 5, required confirmation is effected. A guide vane 1 is then fitted in the bottom ring. The gap G between the end face of the guide vane and the bottom ring is confirmed. A thrust receiving plate 16 is attached so that the guide vane 1 and the bottom ring 5 are assembled with each other in a normal state. An eyebolt 17 is attached to the guide vane 1. An end of a wire 20 is connected to the eyebolt. A chain block 19 is manipulated to hang up the assembly. The bottom ring 5 is assembled with a speed ring 4 and a lower cover 6. After that, the eyebolt 17 is removed through an upper cover 9. The through hole of the speed ring 4 is closed with a cover or the like.
