Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the peeling of ceramics layers and prolong the life of the product by forming the ceramics layers in the desired places of mold surfaces and pouring molten metal thereby forming the ceramics layer into one body on the casting surface.
CONSTITUTION: Ceramics particles, binding agents, adhesive agents, granular materials that can evaporate and surface active agents are mixed to mortar form and the mixture is coated to desired thickness on the surface of a mold 1, followed by drying. Next, when molten metal is poured through the sprue 3 of the mold 1, the granular materials that can evaporate immediately evaporate and the molten metal percolates into the thus created spaces and the bubbles by the surface active agents. As a result, the joining portions of the casting body 1 and ceramics layers 2 assume an irregular wave shape and both become one piece in a manner as to mesh with each other.
