Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent shifting of a superconductor in a superconductive split magnet by densely winding superconductive winding at a coil side plate disposed in an electromagnetic direction acting on the respective coils. CONSTITUTION:Superconductors 4, 4', 4'',... are disposed in a coil flowing a current in the same direction so that the winding mades close contact with the intermediate flange 3'' of bobbins 1, 1' and so that air gaps 5, 5'. 5'',... are formed in the vicinity of both end flanges 3, 3'. Even if it is energized to produce electromagnetic force, the flange 3'' receives mutual coil attracting force. When the current is flowed in reverse direction, the superconductors 4, 4', 4'' make contact with the flanges 3, 4' to form air gaps in the vicinity of the flange 3''. In this manner since it is not necessary to fill filler in the air gap, the method of fabricating the magnet can be simplified to produce stable magnetic field.
