Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an accurate pattern decision by making a comparison between photodetection outputs of the images of the bottom surface of a reaction container with a bevel before and after a particle coagulation pattern is formed.
CONSTITUTION: Two optical systems of the same structure and performance equipped with lamps and photodetectors are provided to prevent the processing performance from deteriorating and reaction container 4 is moved from the 1st photometry position to the 2nd position as shown by arrow A. Two outputs of the 2nd photodetector 7' are supplied to differential amplifiers 11A and 11B, receiving analog signals showing backwound noises at the center part of the container and its circumference before pattern formation, to obtain signals showing a real coagulation pattern without background noise components. Those signals are input to differential amplifier 14 to find a difference in pattern between the center part and circumferential part and its output is input to decision display circuit 17 by way of differential amplifier 15 applied with a fixed reference voltage. Therefore, when the difference output is less than the reference value, the even coagulation pattern is decided accurately and rapidly and when greater, the integration pattern is similarly decided.
