Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide correct iris even in the case of rear light by providing integrating circuits, etc., comparing the respective integrated quantities of the signals having exceeded the reference level on the high luminance side and the signals below the reference level on the low luminance side and so controlling the iris that they assume the specified ratios.
CONSTITUTION: The first reference level l1 is set on the high luminance side and the second reference level l2 on the low luminance side. The first comparator 9 inputs the signal to an integrating circuit 14 when it exceeds the first reference level l1 and sends the signals below the second reference level l2 to an integrating circuit 18. The output signals of the integrating circuits 14, 18 are inputted to a differential amplifier 22, where the magnitude relations are compared. From the differential amplifier 22, the signals corresonding to said magnitude relation is outputted and by this signal the rotating direction of a motor 7 driving an iris 6 is determined. When the two input signals of the differential amplifier 22 become equal, the motor 7 stops, whereby the correct iris may be obtained. Hence, even in the case of rear light, correct brightness may be obtained.
