Abstract

PURPOSE:To change the response speed of a lens iris according to the illumination intensity of an object, by providing a speed controller, which changes the driving speed of the iris driving part, in the lens iris controller. CONSTITUTION:Lens iris controller 6 is provided with motor driving amplifier 7 and speed controller 10 to which the output of detecting and comparing amplifier 8 is input to change the amplification degree of motor driving amplifier 7. The amplification degree of motor driving amplifier 7 is set to a large value, and motor 2 to drive lens iris is rotated quickly when the illumination intensity of the object is a fixed value or more; and when the illumination intensity is within a fixed range, the amplification degree of motor driving amplifier 7 is increased by speed controller 10 to make the rotation speed of motor 2 low, thereby setting the lens iris.
