Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a glass pipe from distortion in manufacturing a solar heat collecting pipe, by making the heat collecting pipe by inserting a heat collecting metal pipe and a heat collecting plate into the glass pipe having an annular connecting metal sealed at one end thereof and welding the stem of said metal pipe to an annular fixing metal.
CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing a reciprocation type heat collecting pipe, a bottom plate section 11 is formed by closing one end of the glass tube 1 and the annular connecting metal 3 is fixed hermetically to the other open end. In subsequent distortion removing process, distortion caused at the bottom plate section 11, the sealing section of connecting metal 3 and other portions is removed completely. On the other hand, a U-shaped heat collecting metal pipe 5 for passing heat collecting fluid therethrough, having the heat collecting plate 6 and the metal stem 4 coupled thereto in a unitary manner, is prepared and inserted into the glass tube 1. This metal pipe assembly is supported in the glass tube 1 by central holders 8. Then, the metal stem 4 and the connecting portion 12 of the metal 3 are welded together hermetically, and after evacuating the glass tube 1 from an exhaust pipe 2, the pipe 2 is sealed hermetically.
