Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve mass production and durability, by a method wherein a powder-molded glass stem is employed to a vacuum glass tube type solar heat collecting pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical metallic connector 3, piercing through a powder- molded glass stem 2, and a heat collecting metal pipe 4, being inserted into a glass tube 1 through the cylindrical metallic connector 3 and being seal-welded at the end part of the metallic connector 3, are mounted, and a heat collecting plate 5 is set at the heat collecting metal pipe 4. This permits an easy molding of the glass stem 2 which is hard to mold in case of press-molding. The metallic connector 3 pierces through the glass stem 2 and the pipe is inserted into the glass tube for seal-welding, whereby a seal-welded area between the metallic connector 3 and the glass stem 2 increases, and as a result a mechanical strength increases and durability is improved.
