Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve development capability at high temperatures by a method wherein the composition of recording material is made from the reactant composed of salicylic derivative sodium salt and watersoluble zinc salt. CONSTITUTION:Required aqueous solution is made by adding 0.8-1.3 equivalents of sodium salt of a salicylic acid derivative with 19 or greater total carbonic atom numbers such as 3,5-di-alpha-methyl benzil salicylic acid sodium, etc. to water soluble zinc salt such as zinc chloride. To this aqueous solution are added 0.05-50 parts of high purity zinc oxide to one part of salicylic derivative sodium salt, and further sulfonic acid alkali metal salt such as styrene oligomer sulfonic compound, dioctyl sulfo-succinic acid, ammonium salt surfactant. Inorganic pigments, watersoluble binders, etc. are added to the said solution and stirred thoroughly and coated on a sheet of original paper. The obtained sheet of developer is excellent in color formation.
