Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the generating output, by disposing annularly guide vanes slanted to the circumferential direction and setting a spiral power generating cylinder equipped with a wind cover for closing part of a wind path on the side surface of the vanes.
CONSTITUTION: A guide vane cylinder 17 is composed of upper and lower rings 17a, 17b and a group of guide vanes 17c disposed on the whole periphery and fitted firmly to between the said rings 17a, 17b with a fixed angle to the peripheral direction. A wind cover 18 is a curved member forming part of the cylinder 17, is concentric with the guide vane cylinder 17 and positioned on the external or internal circumference to close the wind path partly. A suction pipe 9 has a suction port 9a on the side and an outlet 9b at the top, the suction port 9a being directed to the unclosed side of the guide vane cylinder 17 and the outlet 9b being communicated with a spiral power generating cylinder 8. This can improve the efficiency of the windmill.
