Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of a pump-turbine by turning an inside guide vane on high-pressure stage according to an operational condition of the pump- turbine so as to control an inlet angle of water.
CONSTITUTION: Of an upper cover 9 and a lower cover 17 pivoting an inside guide vane 40 on moving high-pressure stage, the upper cover 9 is coupled to a speed ring 11 through a clamping bolt 10 and the lower cover 17 is coupled to an outer cylinder 8 through middle-stage and lower-stage fixed guide vanes 6, 7, a coupling bolt 12 and the first binding bolt 13 independently each. Therefore, there can be set a clearance between the inside guide vane 40 on moving high-pressure stage and the upper cover 9 and the lower cover 17. Thus, an inlet angle of water can be changed within a turning angle set beforehand for the inside guide vane 40 on moving high- pressure stage, and efficiency of a pump-turbine can be improved accordingly.
