Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a membrance surface from being deposited with polluting substances as well as to maintain the membrane capacity by removing deposited polluting substances effectively by introducing a fluid to a permeating side and a residual side of a membrane surface of a cell when a permeating membrane is polluted.
CONSTITUTION: When a M surface of a permeating membrane is polluted, a pressure pump P1 for sending a liquid to be treated is stopped and a supply pump P2 of a backwashing fluid is operated to supply a backwashing fluid of a storage tank B of a membrane permeating water to a membrane permeating side of a cell A. The backwashing water is elluted from a rear side of the membrane M to a membrane surface side exhausted out of a system. A gas is sent at the same time or different time with this fluid is sent to be mixed with the backwashing fluid and the membrane is washed while flushed. Moreover, in sending the backwashing fluid, a gas may be supplied from a fluid conduit 10 to form a gas-liquid mixed fluid. Moreover, a liquid from an inflow pipe 2 may be mixed with a gas from a conduit 3. Thereby, polluting substances on a membrane surface or in fine pores are effectively removed.
