Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the hydrogen erosion resistance of welded joints by heat treating the weld zone of steel in the range of a fixed temperature after welding the steel.
CONSTITUTION: In order to increase the hydrogen erosion resistance of welded joints of steel which are used under the environment of hydrogen at high temperature and pressure, the weld zone should be heated at least 525W600°C under low partial pressure of hydrogen. Chemical component of steel used for welded joint consists of ≥0.3% C, ≥0.2% Si, 0.3W0.9% Mn, 2W5% Cr, 0.5W1.2% Mo, ≥0.026% total amount of P, Sn, Sb plus As and the remainder of Fe.
