Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture hot rolled steel sheet having excellent descaling property, by keeping the hot rolled steel sheet at a constant temp. under specific conditions for a while after winding. CONSTITUTION:For example, a hot rolled steel sheet (e.g. Al killed steel sheet) is kept at 490-540 deg.C for 2-3hr after it is finished at 870 deg.C final hot rolling temp. and wound at 620 deg.C. Said steel sheet kept at a constant temp. is allowed to cool to the room temp. As a result, the hot rolled steel sheet has excellent descaling property, i.e. scale is completely removed by pickling. Hence no scale is formed during the following cold rolling, consequently the yield and the quality are improved considerably.
