Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the high viscosity slurry to be sent under pressure with a low pressure slurry pump by a method wherein a reciprocate piston is arranged at the bottom portion of a hopper installed on a main pipe of slurry supply pipes and a throttle is provided in a main pipe of return pipes for operating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Values 2aW2c and 4aW4c are closed, values 6aW6c and 8aW8c are opened and the slurry sent under pressure through a main slurry supply pipe 7 is supplied to slurry delivering pipes 1aW1c. Thereafter, if each of the said values is opened and closed to the contrary and a high pressure operating liquid pump 3 is driven, the slurry filled in each delivering pipe 1aW1c is sent under pressure by the operating liquid to the transportation pipe 5. In a hydraulic hoist driven in such a manner the hopper 13 with a funnel-shaped section is fixed to the base end of the main pipe 7 and the reciprocate piston 14 is provided in the circular portion 13a so that it can be free to move. Further, the throttle 15 is provided in a main pipe 9 connecting with operating liquid return pipes 9aW9c in order to give back pressure to the slurry when it is sent under pressure to the delivering pipes.
