Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably decrease the wear of a pump, by feeding and discharging working liquid and oiled coal to and from one side of the supply chambers and the other side of them of floating pistons.
CONSTITUTION: When a compound fuel (hereinafter, called COM), in which oils like heavy oil are mixed to a coarse-grained coal, pulverized coal, etc., is transported, firstly the COM in a storage tank 5 flows passing through a pump 6 and pipe 12 into supply chambers 4a and 4b. This causes floating pistons P1, P2 to be gradually lifted to push out working liquids in sections at the opposite side to the side of a discharge pipe 11. After a completion of filling of the COM into the supply chambers, a valve is opened to pour the working liquid into a chamber 3c by a pump 2 and depress downward a piston P3. Then the COM at high pressure is fed to various devices through a pipe 13. Operations of the working liquid feed pump 2 at high pressure and the COM feed pump 6 at relatively low pressure can provide a less wear of the pump capable of supplying the COM at high pressure.
