Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize the simplification of the control constitution, the reduction of the cost and the accerelation of the processing velocity, by providing the buffer memory having the memory capacity to the information equivalent to one unit and thus eliminating the direct coincidence of the working timing among the devices.

CONSTITUTION: The buffer memory, i.e., memory 6 having the memory capacity corresponding to the information equivalent at least to one unit in, e.g., the page memory like the picture information equivalent to one sheet is provided. The document is set to reading device 1, and the reading action is set up through keyboard 5. Thus the picture information on the document is read 1 and then stored in memory 6 in the form of 1-unit information. After this, the retrieval code is set 5 to the picture information read out, and at the same time the storing action is set up 5. Thus the set retrieval code plus the picture information stored in memory 6 are stored in optical disk memory device 2 each in the form of the 1-unit information. When the necessary picture information is obtained among various types of picture information stored 2, the retrieval code plus the retrieval/read action are set via keyboard 5 for the necessary picture information.
