CONSTITUTION:The outer surface of the screen portion 13 of a cathode-ray tube is provided with a continuously corrugated sectional form 15, having a reflection film 17 of aluminium deposited film, etc., on the inclined plane 16a on the side facing the sun 3 of its corrugated section and also having a transparent tube 8 on the inclined plane on the other side. An incident light 4 from the sun 3 is reflected by the reflection film, and the reflected light 6 is directed toward the sun 3, but not toward televiewer. Thus, contrast can be raised by this method.
