Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove the decrease in brightness and the glare due to the reflection of outer light and prevent contrast from decreasing by forming wave forms on the outer surface of a front plate. CONSTITUTION:The outer surface of a front plate 8 has wave forms 9 whose cross- sectional shape is continuous. When the emitted light 10 coming from the screen area 5 of a cathode-ray tube 2 passes through the front plate 8, it is refracted by the slant 11 of the wave forms 9. The advance direction of the emitted light 10 is concentrated toward TV viewers by this refraction. The incident ray of light 4 from the sun 3 is reflected by the slant 11 of the wave forms 9 and its reflected ray of light 6 advances toward the sun 3.
