Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive recording paper, capable of obtaining a stable image without causing troubles such as dropping of characters even after many times of heat printing operation, by applying on a base sheet a heat-sensitive layer containing diazosulfonate, coupling agent and binder of thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:Heat-sensitive layer containing diazosulfonate, coupling agent and binder of thermosetting resin having a glass transition point of 70 deg.-150 deg.C is applied on a base sheet. In order to prevent more positively that the heat-sensitive layer is stuck to the thermal head after heat printing, it is preferable for the heat-sensitive layer to contain a lubricant. Here, for the diazosulfonate, there is used, for instance, a compound represented by the formula shown in the drawing (where R1 is an alkali metal; R2, R3, R5, R6 are H, halogen, alkyl and alkoxy, respectively; R4 is H, halogen, alxyl, amino or the like). As the material for base sheet, on the other hand, use is made of any kind of paper or film but it is preferable to use a surface- treated paper like coated paper or art paper.
