Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive recording paper suitable for use in repeated printing or high-speed printing, wherein a heat-sensitive layer containing a diazosulfonate, a coupling agent, a thermoplastic resin binder with the glass transition point within a specified range, a sleeking agent and a thermal mold releasing agent is formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:The titled heat-sensitive recording paper is obtained by forming a heat-sensitive layer on a support such as plastic film, said heat-sensitive layer containing (a) a diazosulfonate represented by the formula (where R1 is alkali metal; R2, R3, R5 and R6 are each H, halogen, alkyl or the like; R4 is H, halogen, alkyl or the like), (b) a coupling agent such as 4-benzoylresorcin, polyresorcinpyrazolone or the like, (c) a binder consisting of thermoplastic resin having a glass transition point of 70-150 deg.C, such as acrylic resin and cellulosic resin, (d) a sleeking agent such as metallic soaps or the like, and (e) a thermal mold releasing agent such as vegetable oils and petroleum ether or the like.
