Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the blowing OFF of an adhesive in the initial stage of coating operation by a method wherein a connection hose connecting to a coating machine is short-circuited to a low-pressure passage prior to the opening of a coating machine.
CONSTITUTION: A compression feeder 3 is used to house an adhesive into a container tank 2 via a feed pipe 6. The adhesive is kept in a pressurized connection hose 8. Manipulating the trigger of a coating machine presses a pushbutton 13, which actuates a microswitch. The microswitch opens a solenoid valve 10 for a specified short period of time. Said action returns pressurized adhesive in the connection hose 8, prior to the opening of the coating machine 9, to a low-pressure passage between the tank 2 and the inlet tip 4 of the feeder 3 via bypass pipe 11, whereby its internal pressure is reduced. When the solenoid valve 10 is closed, the internal pressure of the connection hose 8 is increased, and the adhesive is jetted out of a nozzle 14. Accordingly, when the coating machine is opened, the internal pressure of the connection hose 8 is reduced and the blowing off of the adhesive is prevented.
