Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the safe coagulant composition without the needs for two- stage addition from a polysaccharide, a water-soluble cationic high molecular weight substance, and a water-souble polyalkyleneglycol or a nonionic compound having a surface active capability, as requisite components, together with an inorganic coagulant as needed.
CONSTITUTION: The coagulant composition is for condensating a suspended water, e.g., soil and sand suspensions, dying waste water, etc., and furthermore for accelerated the dehydration of the condensate. The coagulant composition is obtained by mixing (A) a polysaccharide of high molecular weight, e.g., guaic resin gum, a xanthene gum, etc., a (B) a water-slouble cationic high molecular substance, e.g., quanternary compound of polydimethylaminoethylmethacrylate the acid salt of chitosan, etc., and (C) water-soluble polyalkylene glycol or a nonionic compound having a surface active capability e.g., polyethylene glycol, etc., having an average molecular wight of 1,000 or more, in a proportion of 1:0,1W1:0.05W1.2 A:B:C. The coagulant composition is mixed with an inorganic coagulant as needed.
