Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent pollution and enhance economical effect by recovering and temporarily storing B gas at the pressure equalizing and feeding the recovered gas again into the furnace top sapce at the pressure filling. CONSTITUTION:At the charging of raw materials, the motor of a compressor 23 is run by the operation command from a control unit 3, by which the B gas in a furnace top sapce 14 is drawn and is recovered into a pressure tank 25. The pressure drop of the furnace top space 14 is detected by a pressure gauge 4 and the detected value is inputted to a control unit 3. At the time when the pressure becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure, the suction of the compressor 23 is stopped by the control unit 3 and a sealing valve 12 is opened to charge blast furnace raw materials through a surge hopper 11. Thence, the sealing valve 12 is again closed. When the closing signal is sent to the control unit 3, the unit commands open to a shutoff valve 26, thereby returning the B gas having been recovered into the pressure tank 25 into the furnace top sapce 14. At the time when the feeding of the B gas is completed, the furnace top spacing is filled to the original in-furnace pressure.
