PURPOSE:To prevent the distorsion in oscillation mode of an electrostrictive or piezoelectric oscillator due to the ink pressure within the head by a method wherein DC voltage for compensating a partial distorstion of the oscillator is applied to the electrostrictive or piezoelectric oscillator for exserting the oscillation pressure on ink. CONSTITUTION:An exciting signal from an exciter 5 ia applied to the electrostrictive or piezoelectric oscillator 2 through a transformer 6 and further DC voltage from a DC power supply 7 is superimposed thereon. This DC voltage serves as to compensate a partial distorsion of the electrostrictive or piezoelectric oscillator 2. It is also possible that the exciting signal from the exciter 5 is applied to the electrostrictive or piezoelectric oscillator 2 through a capacitor 8 and then DC voltage from the DC power supply 7 is superimposed on the exciting signal through an impedance element 9 consisting of a choke coil, resistor or others.
