Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording method having a stable jet speed and direction of ink drips for a long term and with simplified arrangement and superior durability of a method wherein ink for drip jet is heated and foamed through a contact interface with a specified surface finish to jet it in the form of a drip. CONSTITUTION:A heating portion set base 1 comprises a protective layer 9, an electrode 8, a heating resistor layer 11, a heat storing layer 7 and a base 6. When a current passes through the electrode 8, a heating portion 2 produces heat to supply ink with heat energy. The ink is subjected to a change due to its volume expansion or the generation of air bubbles to cause a pressure change within a chamber 4', so that a small ink drip 10 is injected. Ink drips required for recording are jetted by selecting the surface finish of the heating portion 2 at a range of 0.05S-2S (JIS Standard B0601) and keeping the energy level for ink injection at about 1.6 times the minimum energy that is required to generate the small air bubbles in the ink and produce the detectable pressure action within the chamber 4' at first.
